Storm Goretti set to batter Europe with heavy wind, rain and snow

Several regions accross Europe will be buffeted by severe weather ranging from "exceptionally strong winds" to snow and freezing temperatures with the arrival of Storm Goretti on Thursday. The UK, France and Germany will bear the brunt of the storm, with Britain's Met Office issuing a "rare" red wind warning for the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall in southwestern England.
